SHOE FETISH: Halle Berry, Vogue’s September cover girl, is about to go deeper into the fashion world. She’s been cast in the film “Shoe Addicts Anonymous,” an adaptation of the best-selling novel by Beth Harbison. The comedy, which will be released in fall 2011, is being produced by Galgos Entertainment’s
Russell Nuce and Mark Bozek, and Parallel Media. Bozek was formerly president and chief executive officer of HSN Inc., launched hsn.com, and before that was vice president of broadcasting at QVC. Nuce was previously vice president and general counsel of Wear Me Apparel at Kids Headquarters.
Only One Halle Berry's newest role will be in the film "Shoe Addicts Anonymous," WWD reports. Based on the book by Beth Harbison, the comedy, about four Chicago women obsessed with footwear, will hit screens in fall 2011. Producer Mark Bozek explained, "It's more 'First Wives' Club' than 'Sex and the City. Halle related to it. She gets all these serious parts and said, 'Nobody thinks of me as a comedic actress' but she's really funny. She also loves shoes."

About this Author
Beth Harbison grew up in Potomac, Maryland, in the shadow of Washington, D.C. Apart from the occasional irritation at being held up in traffic by a presidential motorcade, she has remained fairly uninvolved in the politics that define her home town.
Instead, she shopped.
And she has the credit card bills to prove it.
Shoe Addicts Anonymous, in 2007, was her first mainstream novel after writing four cookbooks and twenty-two Silhouette Romances.
Currently, she lives in Maryland with her husband, two children and three dogs, and enjoys playing Scrabulous and watching terrible reality TV shows.
